“Real Housewife” finalizes divorce from husband, co-star

On Behalf of | Sep 3, 2013 | Divorce, High Asset Divorce |

For couples in Lake County and elsewhere, there is much more to getting a divorce than just the filing. Details, such as division of marital property and assets and determining if spousal support is necessary, must be agreed on by both parties and then approved by a judge. While this process can be arduous for any couple, for a high-profile couple, it can be even more long and drawn out.

After more than a year, the high asset divorce between Adrienne Maloof and Paul Nassif, two of the stars of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” television show, was finalized recently. There were no details released regarding the settlement that was reached. The couple reportedly signed a prenuptial agreement prior to their vows 10 years ago. While the agreement will likely protect much of Maloof’s reported $300 million net worth, it is unknown whether it included any stipulations for the division of the former couple’s marital property and other joint resources.

Maloof and Nassif also share three children who they reportedly intend to co-parent. It was not reported whether the children would be spending equal time with each of their parents or if they would primarily reside with one or the other.

Anyone who is considering divorce may find it of benefit to obtain legal representation. Whether you have significant funds and assets, or only the bare essentials, an attorney can help to look out for your interests throughout your divorce. A lawyer can guide you through the process and address any concerns you may have.
